Visiting Policy
We ask that all Carroll Hospital Center visitors cooperate in promoting the comfort and well-being of our patients by observing the following visiting policy and visiting hours.

Visiting Policy

For the safety of our patients, please do not visit if you have a runny nose, cough or other symptoms of respiratory infection, gastrointestinal illness or any other suspected contagious disease.

General Visiting Hours

General hospital visiting hours for adult family members and friends are 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. These times may be restricted or extended based on the patient needs and type of care provided or unit-specific policies as outlined below.

Children are permitted to visit patients daily from 4 – 8 p.m. Child visitors must be supervised by an adult other than the patient.

Behavioral Health
Monday – Friday: 2 – 3 p.m. and 6 – 7 p.m.
Weekends and holidays: 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 7 p.m.

Emergency Department
Two visitors per patient at the discretion of ED staff.

Critical Care Unit
No specific visiting hours. Family may visit at any time at the discretion of Critical Care Unit nursing staff.

The Family Birthplace
One support person: unlimited visiting hours.
All other family and friends: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Pediatrics
Parents: unlimited visiting hours (Accommodations made for one parent overnight).
All other family and friends: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.


Special Care Nursery
Parents: unlimited visiting hours
All other family and friends: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., if one parent is present. Ten-minute visits with a maximum of two visitors at a time. No visiting hours between 6:45 p.m. – 7:15 p.m.
Visitation at discretion of Special Care Nursery staff.
