Supporting the WISH Fund at Carroll Hospital Center
Each year in October, Carroll Hospital Center hosts an inspirational afternoon in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Pink Fling (formerly Hope & Healing). This event includes a keynote presentation, lunch and silent auction. So ladies, bring your friends, mother and sisters for a "pink" afternoon to help support the cancer services at Carroll Hospital Center.
The 2012 Pink Fling, held on October 14 at Piney Branch Golf & Country Club, raised $40,000 for The WISH Fund in support of The Women’s Place. More than 200 people attended this special event that was emceed by Flavio Kruter, M.D., hematology, oncology and medical director of the Carroll Regional Cancer Center.
Guests enjoyed a wonderful afternoon that included lunch, motivational words from guest speakers and a silent auction. A special thanks to Johanna DiMento, M.D., hematology and medical oncology, who served as chair of the event and also was a presenting sponsor.
