Stephanie Reid, R.N., B.S.N., M.B.A.
Vice President of Quality and Chief Nursing Officer
As vice president of quality and chief nursing officer, Ms. Reid oversees the hospital’s quality initiatives, nursing practices, infection control, patient representative, the staffing office, palliative and spiritual care, ostomy care, Carroll Hospice, geriatrics and the oncology service line.
Ms. Reid joined the Carroll Hospital Center family in 1992 as a shift coordinator, later serving as the staffing manager and director of Medical-Surgical Units. In 2004, Ms. Reid was named the director of Inpatient Services and, most recently, she served as the Chief Nursing Officer and Assistant Vice President of Nursing.
Ms. Reid earned her Associate degree in Nursing from Howard Community College and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the College of Notre Dame in Maryland. She also has a Master in Business Administration in Healthcare Management from Baker College.
Ms. Reid is a member of the Maryland Organization of Nurse Executives, Maryland Nursing Workforce Commission, Maryland Nurses Association, Maryland Health Care Exchange Finance and Sustainability Advisory Committee, American College of Surgeons, Commission on Cancer, and the American Organization of Nurse Executives, and she is a Baldrige Examiner for Maryland Performance Excellence Awards.
