Carroll Hospital Center Health Care Scholarship

Applications are no longer being accepted for the 2013 Carroll Hospital Center Health Care Scholarship.
Four $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors in Carroll County pursuing a career in the health care field.

Scholarship requirements:

• An online scholarship application must be completed by April 1, 2013
• Two letters of recommendation
• A letter of college acceptance
• A descriptive essay completing the statement: "I have chosen to pursue a career in health care because ..."

Carroll Hospital Center Foundation's College Scholarship Fund for Dependents of Associates

One $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to dependents of Associates who have been employed full time at Carroll Hospital Center or its affiliates for three or more years and are in good standing. The successful applicant must be under the age of 21 and pursuing their first bachelor’s degree, accepted to an accredited college or university, demonstrate outstanding merit and exemplify a well-rounded individual. Academic achievement and financial need will be taken into consideration, but will not necessarily be the deciding factor when selecting the awardee. Deadline: May 31, 2013

Carroll Hospital Center Foundation's Virginia Minnick Auxiliary Scholarship

One $2,500 scholarship for children or grandchildren of Associates or volunteers who have been employed full time or have volunteered at Carroll Hospital Center or its affiliates for three or more years and are in good standing. The successful applicant must be under the age of 21 and pursuing their first bachelor’s degree, accepted to an accredited college or university, demonstrate outstanding merit and exemplify a well-rounded individual. Preference will be given to applicants who exhibit responsiveness toward community service. Academic achievement and financial need will be taken into consideration, but will not necessarily be the deciding factor when selecting the awardee. Deadline: May 31, 2013

One $500 scholarship for Associates in pursuit of continuing education who have been employed full time at Carroll Hospital Center or its affiliates for three or more years and are in good standing. The successful applicant must be accepted to an accredited college or university, demonstrate outstanding merit and exemplify a well-rounded individual. Academic achievement and financial need will be taken into consideration, but will not necessarily be the deciding factor when selecting the awardee. Deadline: May 31, 2013
