FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Westminster, Md. – (January 10, 2013) — Carroll Hospital Center’s Sleep Disorders Center received re-accreditation from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). The re-accreditation goes into effect on January 23 and demonstrates the center’s ability to provide the highest standards of quality care.

The re-accreditation was earned after the Sleep Disorders Center submitted a thorough application detailing, among other things, the center’s testing procedures, policies, patient safety practices and the extensive training of its staff. During its evaluation, the AASM determined that the center satisfied all of the AASM’s strict criteria for quality care and granted it re-accreditation for another five years. The Sleep Disorders Center received its initial accreditation in 2008.

Carroll Hospital Center’s Sleep Disorders Center provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of potential sleep disorders. The center is equipped with the latest technology to detect a wide range of sleep-related problems and provides a private, home-like atmosphere to conduct overnight sleep studies for patients.
