Carroll Hospital Center Receives Four Awards from the Alliance for Workplace Excellence

Westminster, Md. – (June 3, 2014) — Carroll Hospital Center has been recognized as an outstanding workplace, receiving four coveted awards from the Alliance for Workplace Excellence (AWE) at the AWE’s Annual Awards Luncheon held on May 20 at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. This marks the second year the hospital has been a quadruple AWE award winner.
The 2014 AWE awards the hospital received included the:
- Workplace Excellence Seal of Approval (for the eighth consecutive year)
- Health & Wellness Seal of Approval (for the eighth consecutive year)
- EcoLeadership Award (for the fifth consecutive year)
- Diversity Champion Award (for the second consecutive year)
To receive these awards the hospital underwent the AWE’s rigorous assessment process led by an independent review panel of business professionals and master’s and Ph.D. level students in the fields of business, industrial and organizational psychology, human resources, environmental science and public health.
The AWE awards highlight businesses across the United States that promote professional fulfillment and personal wellness at work, at home and in the community, as well as those dedicated to creating environmentally sustainable workplaces and maintaining a diverse and inclusive culture within their organizations.
