Christopher Grove, M.D., named Carroll Hospital Center May Physician of the Month

Westminster, Md. – (May 2, 2014) — Christopher Grove, M.D., chief of pathology, was selected as Carroll Hospital Center’s May Physician of the Month. A physician affiliated with Carroll Hospital Center for two and a half years, Dr. Grove was nominated by a fellow physician for his outstanding level of service and leadership of the hospital’s medical laboratory department.
“Dr. Grove is an outstanding pathologist whose professionalism and exceptional leadership of the hospital’s lab team have played a pivotal role is ensuring the hospital always delivers the highest quality patient care,” Mark Olszyk, M.D., Carroll Hospital Center’s vice president of medical affairs and chief medical officer, said.
Each month, Carroll Hospital Center recognizes the extraordinary patient care achievements of physicians, as well as physician assistants, nurse practitioners and certified nurse anesthetists, with a program called Physician WOW Service Awards. From those who are nominated to receive Physician WOW Service Awards each month, one Physician of the Month is chosen. And, from a year’s worth of Physician of the Month winners, one Physician of the Year is selected.
Community members and hospital associates are encouraged to nominate a medical professional who has demonstrated a special dedication and devotion to patients in a variety of ways.
