Westminster, Md. – (December 30, 2013) — Barb Martin, R.N., was presented with Carroll Hospital Center’s December DAISY Award. A nurse at the hospital for seven years, Martin was honored for her extraordinary care of a critically ill patient who was very anxious about her condition. Martin went over and above her duties to constantly reassure the patient and displayed compassion and kindness throughout the patient’s hospital stay.
