Alexandra Onesty named Carroll Hospital Center 2013 Associate of the Year

Westminster, Md. – (October 7, 2013) — Alexandra Onesty, support services technician, was recently selected as Carroll Hospital Center’s 2013 Associate of the Year during the hospital’s annual Associate Recognition Dinner, held at Martin’s Westminster on September 30. A member of the Carroll Hospital Center staff for five years, Onesty received the award for her outstanding work and for her exceptional performance during a Joint Commission survey of the hospital earlier this year.
“Alex is incredible at her job. Over the years she’s been given multiple tasks and challenges that she has embraced, and she has given 110 percent,” said Lisa Burmeister, R.N., surgical services clinical manager at Carroll Hospital Center. “She is very dedicated to our department, and we are very fortunate to have her aboard.”
The 2013 Associate of the Year was selected from Associate of the Month winners beginning October 2012 and running through September 2013. Each year, the Associate of the Year recipient is honored at the annual Associate Recognition Dinner.
“Each year choosing the Associate of the Year is a tough decision because we always have such phenomenal contenders, and this year was no different,” said Leslie Simmons, R.N., FACHE, Carroll Hospital Center president. “But Alex exemplified ourSPIRIT values and did an outstanding job at an extremely pivotal time for the hospital, which makes her highly deserving of this award.”
During the dinner, Carroll Hospital Center also recognized the following Associates who received the Associate of the Month honor from October 2012 through September 2013: Joan Stickles, R.N. (October 2012); Wade Johansen (November 2012); Betty Knatz (December 2012); Anise Moledina, R.N. (January 2013); Stacy Little, R.N. (February 2013); Aileen Riley (March 2013); Sommer Sanders (April 2013); Colleen Hordesky, R.N. (May 2013); Genie Ladic, R.N. (June 2013); Ryan King (July 2013); Alexandra Onesty (August 2013); and Gretchen Canfield, R.N. (September 2013).
