Ellen Finnerty Myers, C.F.R.E.
Chief Development Officer and Vice President of Community Affairs
Ms. Myers received her bachelor's degree in marketing from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1988. She has 23 years of progressive experience in the fundraising profession starting with Director of Annual Giving for the Syracuse Opera Company. She expanded her skills at the University of Maryland (Baltimore) as Director of Annual Giving for the School of Pharmacy and Department of Physical Therapy. She was later promoted to Director of Development and Public Affairs for the National Museum of Dentistry on the University of Maryland Baltimore campus.
She joined the Carroll Hospital Center team in fall 2000, from Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, where she was Director of Development. She has a proven track record that includes planning and management of a more than $50 million in capital campaign support for Maryland charities. Ms. Myers manages the development programs at Carroll Hospital Center and Carroll Hospice and oversees volunteer/auxiliary services, legislative affairs and the Partnership for a Healthier Carroll County.
Currently, Ms. Myers serves as Regional Mid-Atlantic Director and as a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Association for Healthcare Professionals (AHP). She is a member of the Association for Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and is an active member of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce where she served as the 2007 Chair of the Board of Directors. She is married with four children.
