Children’s Health and Safety Education
Wellness starts early. That’s why we have developed programs that are designed to teach kids how to be safe and healthy. We offer classes on babysitting and CPR, along with special courses for children who are expecting a new brother or sister.
CPR and Advanced Life Support Training
Carroll Hospital Center regularly offers courses in CPR and basic life support. These classes are open to the general public.
As part of its commitment to women’s health, the hospital provides many educational programs and classes to prepare you and your entire family for the birth of your baby. Our ongoing offerings include classes on Prepared Childbirth, Childbirth Review, Breastfeeding, Sibling Preparation (“I Am Special”), Safe Start and Infant CPR. Pre- and postnatal exercise programs also are available through The Women’s Place.
Support Groups and Educational Series
If you or a loved one is coping with the challenges of disease, Carroll Hospital Center offers a variety of groups and educational classes to gain the support and knowledge needed to successfully manage the condition — from heart disease and cancer to Parkinson’s disease and many more.
In partnership with the Carroll County Health Department, a five-week tobacco cessation program is offered on an ongoing basis at the health department.
