Using the services of Advanced Radiology—located just next door to the hospital—patients benefit from state-of-the art diagnostic testing, such as mammograms, ultrasound, PET scans, CT scans and MRI. Carroll Hospital Center also has the ability to perform CT scans and X-rays onsite.

Through its partnership with the Carroll County Cancer Center, our patients can receive state-of-the-art external beam radiation therapy. The Center utilizes conventional as well as the more sophisticated conformal and intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) methods of treatment, which allow for optimum x-ray delivery to the tumor. Prostate cancer can also be treated in some patients with brachytherapy (seed implants), which is available through the hospital.     

 

A variety of open, laparoscopic and minimally invasive procedures, such as stereotactic breast biopsy, are available to best suit each patient’s needs.

 

To enhance the treatment process, a variety of complementary health services are offered, including massage, acupuncture, yoga and Reiki.
