Carroll Hospital Center offers support and guidance to anyone who has been tested for, or has been diagnosed with, all types of cancer. Patients and their family members will receive personal guidance and experienced care management by a registered nurse.
To help patients navigate the uncertain terrain of cancer diagnosis, treatment and recovery while staying close to home, Carroll Hospital Center offers free cancer navigation services.
Working with men and women with all types and stages of cancer, these specialists can help guide patients step by step through their cancer journey, leaving no question unanswered.
“Many cancer patients initially feel a loss of control over their lives. But knowing what to expect and having someone to talk to helps them regain some of that control and focus on treatment and recovery,” says Sarah Lentz, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.S., general surgeon and medical director of The Women’s Place. “From the time a patient is faced with a pending diagnosis, our nurses provide the one-on-one support patients need as they plan a course of treatment with their physician.”
