Westminster, Md. – (May 4, 2010) — For the fourth consecutive year, Carroll Hospital Center has been recognized as one of the best places to work after being named a winner of the 2010 Workplace Excellence Award, the 2010 Health & Wellness Trailblazer Award and for the first time, the 2010 EcoLeadership Award by the Alliance for Workplace Excellence.

The hospital was one of 61 companies to receive the Workplace Excellence Award, one of 33 to receive the Health & Wellness Trailblazer Award and one of 22 to receive the EcoLeadership Award.

The Workplace Excellence and Health & Wellness Trailblazer Awards highlight businesses in the Greater Washington, D.C. area that promote professional fulfillment and personal wellness at work, at home and in the community. The EcoLeadership Award recognizes businesses that demonstrate a commitment to implementing various green initiatives.

The hospital will be officially presented with the awards at The Alliance for Workplace Excellence Annual Awards Luncheon, on Tuesday, June 1 at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center.

The Alliance for Workplace Excellence is a national non-profit organization that provides companies with a portfolio of products and services to help them create a positive work environment. All award recipients are chosen based on criteria such as their supportive corporate culture and management practices; family and employee-friendly policies and practices; strong employee health and wellness initiatives; comprehensive growth and learning opportunities; and commitment to corporate, social and civic responsibility.
