Recognizing & Appreciating Our Donors
Every gift to Carroll Hospital Center is important and helps us fulfill our mission to deliver superior health care services that meet the growing and changing needs of our community. Because special support deserves special recognition, the hospital has established several ways to honor our extraordinary contributors.
Founders CircleThe Founders Circle recognizes individuals who give annual gifts of $1,000 or more—and businesses that contribute $2,500 or more—to the Carroll Hospital Center Foundation or to Carroll Hospice. It was established to honor a group of visionary communitarians who, in the 1950s, spearheaded the effort to build a hospital in Carroll County. These pioneering philanthropists included:

- Scott & Anita Bair
- Dr. Charles & Ruth Billingslea
- F. Kale & Betty Mathias
- David & Betty Scott
- Atlee & Janet Wampler
- Gladys Wimert
Founders Circle V.I.P. Program
Of the more than $2 million in charitable support given to Carroll Hospital Center last year, more than 70% was contributed by Founders Circle members. This group of donors is vital to preserve the excellence of the care we provide. As a small token of our thanks, each Founders Circle member is eligible to take advantage of our V.I.P. program. Membership runs one year from the date of your last gift of $1,000 or more (or when your giving level reaches $1,000 or more for a one-year period).
Membership for a business is the same with a gift of $2,500 or more.
Just a sampling of the benefits of the program include:
- Discounts at Anchor Pharmacy, The Candy Striper Gift Shop, educational programs at The Women’s Place and meals at the Overlook Café at Carroll Hospital Center.
- Special care package when you are admitted to the hospital, including a gourmet meal and daily newspaper delivery.
- Twenty-four hour phone number to reach Foundation staff members for assistance.
