The Partnership for a Healthier Carroll County, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization focused on promoting health and wellness throughout the community. This organization was established in April 1999 in collaboration with Carroll Hospital Center and the Carroll County Health Department.
Carroll Hospital Center proposed the formation of The Partnership after the completion of an extensive Community Health Assessment Project. Health assessment results revealed several key health concern areas which needed improvement throughout the community:
Since its inception nearly eight years ago, The Partnership has created a number of community outreach programs, including the Seniors Keep in Touch Program (SKIT), Carroll County Neighbors Helping Neighbors (CCNHN) and Access Carroll, Inc., a nonprofit organization offering free health care to uninsured, low-income residents of Carroll County.
Through The Partnership, Carroll Hospital Center is striving to create a healthier community by improving access to care, promoting communication and supporting the vitality and health of this growing community.
