If you want to work in an environment where you will grow professionally and personally, where the nursing, management and physician teams work together to meet the demands of the challenging health care arena, then we invite you to learn more about career opportunities at Carroll Hospital Center - a workplace like no other.

Carroll Hospital Center is proud to offer a unique, top-notch mentoring program to all newly hired nursing professionals. This program pairs nursing students, new graduates and experienced nurses with a veteran nurse (known as a preceptor) in a specialty area, such as medical/surgical, critical care/progressive care, emergency medicine, obstetrics (The Family BirthPlace) and the operating room. Together, they become partners in patient care during the orientation process, which is individualized to meet the needs of each nurse.

Our mentors follow the progress of protégés for a full year and regularly meet with them to offer advice, discuss strengths, areas for improvement and any concerns. The mentor offers support and guidance to the newly hired nurse. Additionally, this program is provided to both nursing technicians and unit secretaries as well.
