Lace up your sneakers and get moving, Carroll County! With obesity rates on the rise and heart disease a growing problem in our community, there’s no better time to start an exercise program. Carroll Hospital Center makes it easy, convenient and safe with LifeFit, an aerobics program that promotes the benefits of exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle.
Led by a certified aerobics instructor, LifeFit classes include a warm-up, stretching, low-impact aerobics and strength training performed to a variety of motivating music. Participants enjoy a great exercise routine and also make connections with peers who can support each another in their lifestyle goals.
This free exercise program is held every Tuesday and Thursday from 8 to 9 a.m. in the TownMall of Westminster next to the food court area. LifeFit is open to the general public, and people of all ages are encouraged to attend. Registration is not required, but please be sure to consult your physician before you begin any exercise program.
For more great information on healthy lifestyle habits and current health news, you can also stop by the mall for quarterly educational meetings held from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. in the food court. A complimentary breakfast is served, and free blood pressure checks are performed after each meeting.
