Junior Volunteers

A great opportunity for students, 14-18 years old, to volunteer for a community organization, while earning service hours that may be applied to their required 75 hours of community service for the Carroll County school system.

Requirements for the Junior Volunteer Program at Carroll Hospital Center:

  • Fill out application
  • Interview with Director of Volunteer Services
  • Agree to serve a minimum of 40 hours of volunteer service over a 12-month period
  • Attend all required training
Once you become a Junior Volunteer, you will have a diverse selection of volunteer opportunities to choose from, including:
  • General clerical and administrative duties
  • Assisting nursing staff—Discharge patients via wheelchair, assist with patient transfers, act as a liaison between nursing stations and the lab, deliver flowers, assist at nursing stations and so much more!
The Junior Volunteer Program begins in the spring, when applications become available. Interviews and training are held in April and May, with the volunteer term running June through August.
