For Carroll County high school students interested in health care careers.
November 13, 2008
Carroll Hospital Center is excited to offer an annual Job Shadow Day for 11th and 12 grade Carroll County high school students. This year's Job Shadow Day will be held on November 13, 2008.
Our job shadow program allows students to "shadow" a hospital employee for the day, giving them the chance to see what it's really like to work in a health care or other related field they may be interested in pursuing.
From nursing and pharmacy to health education and nuclear medicine, the opportunities for students to experience a "day in the life" of a specific health care career is wide open. Students may also elect to shadow business professionals, including members of our marketing, human resources, biomedical (electronics) and computer science departments, as well as various administrative positions at the hospital.
In an effort to develop continued interest from our youth and further their education in a health care field, Carroll Hospital Center is proud to open its doors and its departments to more than 40 students each year.
As a major sponsor of the job shadow program, the hospital works in conjunction with the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce to offer this unique opportunity to students.
