Welcome to our Emergency Department. We recognize that visiting an emergency department can be an anxious time for both our patients and their family, so we have made a few enhancements to our emergency services to help ease you through the health care experience. When you arrive in our bright, airy waiting room, a special greeter is awaiting you and your family at the front desk to help calm your fears and begin the process of your health care treatment.

To ensure patient and visitor comfort, the ED waiting area was created as a spacious area decorated in soothing colors and offering plenty of natural light, ample seating and a play area for children. Your comfort doesn't end with our warm decor. Our Emergency Department is equipped with a specialized staff, dedicated to making your emergency department experience a positive one and giving you the confidence you deserve with your medical treatment.

Specialized care for your specific needs. No matter what your emergency health care needs are, our skilled health care team, advanced technolgies and specially designed emergency facility, will help to ease your concerns and get you back on the road to recovery. Carroll Hospital Center's ED contains special treatment areas for: trauma/cardiac, general examination, pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology, orthopaedics, behavioral health evaluations, minor illness and injuries, and triage, where nurses assess patients upon arrival and assign them to specific treatment rooms.

Skilled, Multidisciplinary Medical Team

All rooms are private with walls and glass doors, instead of traditional curtains, and have enough space for family members to accompany patients throughout treatment when appropriate. Rooms also are equipped with televisions and monitoring equipment to help keep you comfortable during your stay with us.

Computed Tomography (CT)

To protect your privacy and streamline your health care, our Emergency Department was designed with several great enhancements—all under one roof.  We provide the following services to better serve and manage the health care plans of our patients: Our own X-ray, computed tomography (CT) and ultrasound equipment Bedside registration Electronic tracking system that monitors movement and care of patients through the Emergency Department  Multiple nursing stations that put caregivers closer to patients and families
