Carroll Hospital Center’s Emergency Department (ED) is committed to quality service and patient care. At 30,000 square feet, the ED boasts 42 different treatment areas with private rooms to increase your comfort.  Take the following "tour" of our ED to gain a better understanding of our state-of-the-art care.

Welcome to our Emergency Department. We recognize that visiting an emergency department can be an anxious time for both our patients and their family. When you arrive in our bright, airy waiting room, a special greeter is awaiting you and your family at the front desk to help calm your fears and begin the process of your health care treatment.

	To ensure your comfort, the ED waiting area is spacious and decorated in soothing colors. It offers plenty of natural light and ample seating. Our specialized staff are dedicated to making your experience a positive one and to giving you the best possible medical treatment.

Specialized Treatment Rooms No matter what your emergency health care needs are, our specialized treatment areas can care for you. They include: trauma/cardiac, general examination, pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology, orthopaedics, behavioral health evaluations, minor illness and injuries, and triage, where nurses assess patients upon arrival and assign them to specific treatment rooms. All rooms are private with walls and glass doors, instead of traditional curtains, and have enough space for family members to accompany patients throughout treatment when appropriate. Rooms also are equipped with televisions and monitoring equipment to help keep you comfortable during your stay with us.
