Each year, our emergency department (ED) medical professionals, including board-certified emergency physicians, emergency-trained nurses and excellent ancillary staff, provide expert care for nearly 50,000 patients. While a visit to the ED may be a stressful and anxious time, you can trust that our specially trained team is ready to care for you with the most advanced lifesaving equipment and technology available.

The medical team
In the ED, you’ll be treated by a comprehensive group of emergency medicine specialists, including physicians, physician assistants, registered nurses, triage nurses, support staff and others. Our team works together to diagnose, manage and treat a full range of acute and critical illnesses and injuries—from heart attack and stroke, to lacerations and sprains.
Your comfort and privacy
For your comfort, privacy and convenience, our high-tech emergency department is more than 30,000 square feet, designed with all private rooms and specialized treatment areas for trauma, cardiology, obstetrics/gynecology, orthopaedics and pediatrics. You’ll find state-of-the-art monitoring equipment in every treatment room, as well as a dedicated diagnostic radiology suite for general X-ray, CT scan and ultrasound. In addition, special areas are available for decontamination cases, pediatric patients, trauma victims and behavioral health admissions.
Fast Track or Main ED
Depending on the level of injury or illness, our emergency department boasts a Fast Track service in addition to our regular emergency services. Fast Track option allows us to treat minor emergencies, such as sprains, lacerations and simple fractures, more efficiently—by reducing wait times and streamlining care. While using Fast Track, you patients still benefit from our same state-of-the-art facility, advanced technology and outstanding medical team.
Whether you are treated in our main ED or in Fast Track, our ED representatives will be sure to keep your family and friends posted on your progress. We know that five minutes can seem like an hour when you’re waiting. That’s why our representatives are there to serve as an important liaison between you and your loved ones.
