Has your child ever wondered what goes on inside a hospital? Does he or she have anxiety about an upcoming hospital visit or procedure? The CHOPS program at Carroll Hospital Center was designed specifically to help youngsters—specifically first graders—learn more about medical care and alleviate their fears.
CHOPS offers first-grade classes the opportunity to visit the hospital during a scheduled field trip and shows them what to expect if they come to the hospital for surgery, in an emergency or to treat an illness. Our caring, knowledgeable staff makes sure the tour is informative, interactive and fun.
Carroll County school teachers are encouraged to call and register their classes for a visit by contacting The Learning Center at 410-871-6841.
