Cell Phone Usage
Using Your Cell Phone at Carroll Hospital Center

In today's world of technology, cell phone usage is high. At Carroll Hospital Center, we make every effort to provide a comfortable, safe and convenient environment for our patients' family members and visitors.

Due to possible interference with monitoring and patient care equipment located on our patient care units and in other clinical areas, the use of cell phones is prohibited on patient floors, pre- and post- op recovery areas, radiology suites and other clinical areas.

Please keep all cell phones turned off when in patient care areas, including patient units, as well as testing and procedure areas.

For your convenience, cell phones may be used in non-patient areas including:
• front lobby
• waiting areas (including the surgical waiting area, Dixon Building waiting room, Emergency Department waiting room)
• non-clinical offices
• food/eatery areas including the cafeteria, outside patio and coffee bar

You may notice members of a patient's health care team using portable phones to communicate with other members of the health care team. Keep in mind, these phones are used in-house only and are not cell phones.
