Ease and convenience are not words you would typically associate with cancer treatment. That, however, is just what the Carroll Cancer Center has set out to change. Carroll County cancer patients no longer have to drive far to get state-of-the-art cancer treatment.

The Center, which is located on Carroll Hospital Center’s campus on South Center Street, offers outpatient radiation and medical oncology services for an array of conditions including tumors of the lung, breast, prostate, colon, ovaries, bladder and others, as well as leukemia and lymphomas. Operating as a joint venture of Carroll Hospital Center and U.S. Oncology, a national leader in cancer research and therapies, this Center offers patients and their families the latest in cancer treatments.

In addition to a complete medical staff of oncologists, nurses trained in oncology, case managers and other health care professionals, the Cancer Center houses an administrative team that helps patients through every aspect of care.

Once a patient is referred to an oncologist, the staff at the Center will develop a treatment plan specific to each patient. In addition to an individualized treatment program, patients have access to support groups, seminars on cancer issues and information about other community resources.
