Cardiovascular recovery services at Carroll Hospital Center include a comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation program and an anticoagulation clinic.
Our multidisciplinary team of cardiovascular professionals takes your health to heart — literally. That’s why we offer a comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation program for patients who have suffered a heart attack or who have cardiovascular disease.
This 12-week program:
- combines exercise, education and support to offer a customized approach to a heart-healthy lifestyle
- provides supervised, one-hour exercise sessions three days a week that are tailored to your needs and abilities
- includes education on nutrition, smoking cessation, stress reduction, medication management and more
- is supervised by a board-certified physician and specially trained cardiac nurses and technologists
- is certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, and meets the highest standards of care
You must have a physician referral to participate but you do not have to be a patient at Carroll Hospital Center. A stress test usually is needed to determine the appropriate level of exercise. For more information, call 410-871-6741.
