Cardiac Diagnosis

Our skilled team of physicians and technologists can perform a number of tests to assess your heart and determine if you have heart disease or if you are at risk. All tests require a physician’s order. Some of the many diagnostic cardiac tests we offer include:

  • ECG (electrocardiogram, also called EKG), inpatient stress test, holter monitor – non-invasive tests that measure the electrical activity of your heart
  • Cardiac ultrasound (echocardiogram) – a non-invasive test that uses sound waves (ultrasound) to provide images of your heart
  • Coronary CT Angiography (CCTA) – a non-invasive way to view the heart vessels that uses advanced CT equipment. More.
  • Calcium Scoring – our 64-slice CT scanner non-invasively provides clear images of calcium build-up in your heart vessels to better determine your risk of heart disease. More.
  • Cardiac Catheterization – the “gold standard” for determining where and to what extent you may have blockages in the arteries serving your heart is performed in our advanced cardiac cath labs.
  • Electrophysiology (EP) studies - highly specialized procedures that test the speed and flow of heart rhythms to provide detailed information about the location and type of arrhythmia and determine the most effective course of treatment.
