Do you have children who are about to enter the sixth, seventh or eighth grade? Mark your calendars to have them attend Camp SHAKE, offered each summer right here at Carroll Hospital Center.

Camp SHAKE, which stands for Safety and Health Care Awareness for Kids Every Day, is a fun, interactive camp designed to give students the chance the learn how to stay healthy and safe and, at the same time, learn what it’s like to work in a variety of exciting health care careers. The camp is held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. during two, separate week-long sessions—one at the end of June and one in early July.

Typically, one camp focuses on healthy eating, exercise and emergency care, while the other covers topics such as first aid, CPR and health care careers. Youngsters can choose to attend one or both camps. The cost per session is $150 and includes snacks and supplies.
