Westminster, Md. – (December 29, 2008) — The White Rabbit, the Carroll Hospital Center Auxiliary’s thrift shop, recently donated $25,000 to the Carroll Hospital Center Auxiliary.

Lois Weaver, a volunteer at The White Rabbit, presented the check to Vicky Campbell Green, president of the Auxiliary in early December. The funds went toward the Auxiliary’s successful pledge to raise $300,000 in 2008 to support the hospital’s operating room enhancements.

Located on the corner of Stoner Avenue and Washington Road, The White Rabbit is staffed by hospital volunteers and sells select pre-owned items including small furniture, house wares, decorative items and clothing. All proceeds from the store benefit Carroll Hospital Center. 

Carroll Hospital Center, founded in 1961 as Carroll County General Hospital, is a nonprofit, acute care facility offering the latest in medical technology, experienced medical professionals in a variety of specialties and a continuum of programs and services to meet the needs of the community.
