Carroll Hospital Center Auxiliary achieves goal to raise $300,000 for Carroll Hospital Center

Westminster, Md. – (December 23, 2008) — The Carroll Hospital Center Auxiliary recently presented its final $100,000 check to the Carroll Hospital Center Foundation, fulfilling its pledge to raise $300,000 in 2008 to support operating room enhancements at the hospital.
Vicky Campbell Green, president of the Auxiliary presented the check to Jack Tevis, chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees and John Sernulka, the hospital’s president and CEO, on December 17 at the Foundation Board Meeting.
The funds were raised through a variety of Auxiliary community events such as the Silvery Moon Ball, the Spring Fashion Show along with proceeds from The Candy Striper Gift Shop and the White Rabbit Thrift Shop at Carroll Hospital Center.
“I am happy that we have the support of the volunteers, the committee members and the community to be able to make this donation which will help Carroll Hospital Center expand its services for residents in Carroll County and surrounding areas,” said Vicky Campbell Green, president of the Auxiliary.
Carroll Hospital Center, founded in 1961 as Carroll County General Hospital, is a nonprofit, acute care facility offering the latest in medical technology, experienced medical professionals in a variety of specialties and a continuum of programs and services to meet the needs of the community.
