Flavio Kruter, M.D., named a top physician in his specialty

Westminster, Md. – (November 21, 2008) — Flavio Kruter, M.D., hematology, oncology, and former president of Carroll Hospital Center’s medical staff, was recently named a top doctor in Baltimore Magazine’s 2008 list of the best physicians in the Baltimore region. This marks the second time Dr. Kruter has been selected as a “Top Doc” by the magazine.
The list is excerpted from the Best Doctors in America 2008 database. The names were compiled based on a survey that asked physicians across the country: “If you or a loved one needed a doctor in your specialty, to whom would you refer them?”
Dr. Kruter was one of three hematology and oncology specialists to make this year’s list, along with Fouad Abbas, M.D., a gynecologic oncology specialist at Carroll Hospital Center who was named a top physician in his field.
Affiliated with Carroll Hospital Center for 15 years, Dr. Kruter is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and he is the medical director of Alliance Hematology Oncology/Carroll Cancer Center in Westminster.
