Carroll Hospice hosts the 2008 Festival of Trees

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Westminster, Md. (November 13, 2008) — Carroll Hospice is hosting a special event to celebrate the holiday season and memorialize lost loved ones with the 2008 Festival of Trees. The event kicks off on Friday, December 12 at 6 p.m. at the Carroll County Agricultural Center’s Roche Rabbit, located at 706 Agricultural Center Drive in Westminster, and features trees decorated and donated by community members.
The decorated trees will also be on display Saturday, December 13 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, December 14 from noon to 6 p.m. All trees will be available for silent auction with all bids closing Saturday, December 13 at 9 p.m. Community members wanting a personal way to memorialize a lost loved one during this holiday season can do so by purchasing ornaments for Carroll Hospice’s trees of remembrance. New to this year’s event will be a pet remembrance tree for people to honor the memory of a lost pet. All ornaments cost $10 and will be personalized with their loved one’s name.

Carroll Hospice, an affiliate of Carroll Hospital Center, is a non-profit organization that provides end-of-life care to the terminally ill. In 1986, Carroll Hospice cared for 53 patients. Today, they serve more than 50 patients each day.
