Jeffrey Wothers appointed to the Carroll Hospital Center Board of Directors

Westminster, Md. – (October 6, 2009) — Attorney Jeffrey Wothers of Niles, Barton & Wilmer, LLP, was recently appointed to the Carroll Hospital Center Board of Directors.
As a board member, Wothers will be involved in making critical decisions regarding the overall quality of care, governance and the financial performance of Carroll Hospital Center. His strong leadership, legal expertise and critical thinking will assist the board in assessing the hospital’s performance, strategic direction and future.
A lawyer for close to 20 years, Wothers earned his law degree from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Del. He is currently the managing partner at Niles, Barton & Wilmer, LLP, and his practice focuses on property insurance law, related first party insurance matters and commercial litigation. Wothers is a member of the American Bar Association’s Property Insurance Law Committee, Intellectual Property Litigation Committee and Computer and Internet Litigation Committee. He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute and various intellectual property committees in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania. Wothers practices in the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
