Leroy Fisher named Carroll Hospital Center August Volunteer of the Month

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Westminster, Md. – (September 9, 2009) — Leroy Fisher was recently selected as Carroll Hospital Center’s August Volunteer of the Month. A volunteer at Carroll Hospital since 2008, Fisher was chosen for his dedication and willingness to lend a helping hand whenever needed at the hospital.
Fisher’s duties include responding to requests for discharging patients, delivering flowers and mail to patients’ rooms and performing other errands as required within the hospital. Fisher also has been instrumental in the maintenance of the hospital’s Meditation Garden.
“Leroy is a hardworking, friendly and resourceful volunteer who is a joy to work with,” Mary Richards, director of volunteer services at Carroll Hospital Center, said.
Each month, Carroll Hospital Center recognizes the extraordinary achievements of its volunteers. They are chosen based on length of service, hours of service or exemplary performance.
