Westminster, Md. – (October 4, 2007) — As a prelude to its 48th Annual Silvery Moon Ball, the Carroll Hospital Auxiliary is hosting a special movie night event at Carroll Arts Theater on Wednesday, October 17 at 6 p.m. The special event, featuring the movie “Diamonds Are Forever”, starring Sean Connery, will include hors d’oeuvres, a martini bar with a signature drink and silent auction items to be auctioned off between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The theme of the Carroll Hospital Center Auxiliary’s Silvery Moon Ball — to be held in November — is “007…A Night of Intrigue.”

The lead sponsor for the Silvery Moon Ball Movie Night is David’s Jewelers of Westminster. Other sponsorship opportunities also are available. A “Bond Girl” sponsorship for $100, includes reserved seating for the movie, recognition at the event and in the Silvery Moon Ball program and a special martini necklace and glass on the night of the event. “Bond Girl” sponsors are not required to be present at the event.

Tickets for the movie night event are $20.07. Proceeds benefit the expansion of the Level II Special Care Nursery at Carroll Hospital Center. Seating is limited. Tickets are available at the Carroll Arts Theater or by calling 410-871-7280.

The Carroll Hospital Center Auxiliary has provided support to the hospital both financially and through volunteer services since 1959. It consists of more than 300 community members, of whom 184 are active volunteers. Proceeds from The Candy Striper Gift Shop, The White Rabbit Thrift Shop and annual fundraising events contribute to the Auxiliary’s pledged donation goal each year.

Carroll Hospital Center, founded in 1961 as Carroll County General Hospital, is a nonprofit, acute care facility offering a continuum of services, including comprehensive inpatient, outpatient and community programs.
