Westminster, Md. – (November 1, 2006) — The Carroll Hospital Center Foundation recently received a $330,000 gift from the estate of Paul and Rosella Wine. Catherine E. Reese, assistant vice president of the Branch Banking & Trust Company (BB&T) presented the check to the Carroll Hospital Center Foundation at its Board of Trustees meeting in September.

Paul Wine, a long-time Carroll Hospital Center volunteer, established a charitable reminder trust before his death in the early 1990s. Upon his wife Rosella’s death in March of 2006, the remainder of the trust was left to Carroll Hospital Center Foundation, as both she and Paul wanted.

Carroll Hospital Center, founded in 1961 as Carroll County General Hospital, is a nonprofit, acute care facility offering a continuum of services, including comprehensive inpatient, outpatient and community programs.
