(November 15, 2005) — The Carroll County Jazz Ensemble will present its 4th Annual "Big Band Merry Christmas" concert at Westminster High School on Saturday, December 3, at 7:30 p.m. to benefit the Carroll Hospice inpatient facility. Concert snow date is Wednesday, December 7. The Carroll County Jazz Ensemble will showcase the talents of Brad Collins, Tom Whitman, Gil Rathel, Jeff Boone, David Motter, Charles Berry, Herb Sell, and director Glenn Patterson. Singers featured this year include the "Little Swinger Singers" from the Carroll County Children’s chorus, Carroll Singers Octet, and soloists Ann Barcroft and Jennifer Gambino, Carroll Hospice director of development. Santa Claus will also make his annual special appearance. Proceeds from this year’s Big Band Merry Christmas Concert support construction of the Carroll Hospice inpatient facility, where patients will receive palliative care in a home-like setting. The inpatient facility will be built on Washington Road, adjacent to Carroll Hospital Center.
