Westminster, Md. – The Carroll Hospital Center Auxiliary is sponsoring the 13th annual Tree of Lights celebration. This unique event is an opportunity for family, friends and supporters of the hospital to honor someone special with a donation to the hospital.
With a $5 donation or more, a light bulb will be placed on the tree in memory of a loved one, to acknowledge a special person, or to commemorate an anniversary or any other occasion. Each individual or family recognized by the purchase of a light will be notified or your generous gift and invited to attend the tree lighting ceremony at 7 p.m. Nov. 29 in the main lobby at Carroll Hospital Center. The evening’s festivities include performances by The Old Line Statesmen Barbershop Chorus and the Westminster Ballet Theatre.
In addition to the lights, you may purchase an angel to adorn the Tree of Lights for $50. Tax-deductible gifts for the holiday tree will be accepted through Jan. 14, 2005. Proceeds from the Tree of Lights benefit the Auxiliary’s $1 million pledge to the expansion project at Carroll Hospital Center.
Anyone interested in purchasing a light for the holiday tree is asked to complete a donation form available in the hospital’s main lobby, Dixon Building lobby and cafeteria. Donations payable to the Carroll Hospital Center Auxiliary, Tree of Lights, may be mailed to 200 Memorial Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157. Please specify the name of the individual or family whom you wish to honor or remember.
