Mark Hoeflich, (410) 871-6836, mhoeflich@carrollhospitalcenter.org Westminster, Md. – The Carroll Hospital Center Auxiliary recently held its annual Fashion Show and luncheon at Martin’s Westminster. The show, “A Bouquet of Fashions”, featured hospital employees, volunteers and friends of the hospital modeling fashions by Belk of the TownMall in Westminster.
More than 300 guests enjoyed a seated lunch, door prizes, jewelry sale and the latest spring fashions and accessories. The fashion show’s commentators were Nicky Smelser, fashion events coordinator at Belk, and Eileen Gist, owner of Stewart R. Dutterer Flower Shop, Inc. and Carroll Hospital Center Auxiliary board member. Proceeds from the event will support the Auxiliary’s
$1 million pledge toward the hospital’s expansion project.
“There was excitement and fun in the air. It was a wonderful show,” said Ann Spittel, chairperson of the event and vice president of the Auxiliary.
Local businesses providing in-kind donations included Admiral Cleaners, Barnes & Bollinger, Belk, Books Are Fun, Dutch Corner Restaurant, e Cosmetics, Jill’s Jams & Jellies, Lancôme, Miller’s Food Market of Manchester and Orbital Salon.
