 Westminster, Md. –
The Auxiliary at Carroll County General Hospital recently presented a check for $50,000 to the hospital’s Foundation as part of its $1 million pledge in support of the “Fulfilling the Promise” campaign. The campaign was developed to help raise private funds for the $80 million expansion and renovation project at Carroll County General.
Dottie Cole, president of the Auxiliary, presented the payment to Jack Tevis, chairman of the “Fulfilling the Promise” campaign and president of S.H. Tevis & Son, Inc., during the Auxiliary’s membership meeting, May 17.
The Auxiliary has been in existence since 1959, providing support to the hospital both financially and through volunteer service. It consists of more than 400 community members, of whom 184 are active volunteers. Annual fund-raising events such as the Spring Fashion Show, Silvery Moon Ball and Tree of Lights contribute to the Auxiliary’s pledged donation goal each year. Also, all proceeds from the gift shop, which is operated by the Auxiliary, are donated to the hospital.
Founded in 1961, Carroll County General Hospital is a non-profit, acute care facility offering a continuum of services, including comprehensive inpatient, outpatient and community programs.
