 Westminster, Md. –
The Carroll County General Hospital Auxiliary invites new members to join the organization. A tea reception will be held on Wednesday, June 25, from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. at The Women’s Place at Carroll County Hospital, 219 Stoner Avenue in Westminster.
Auxiliary members will be on hand to discuss opportunities to work on fundraising events such as the Silvery Moon Ball, Tree of Lights, Basket Calendar Bingo or the Spring Fashion Show. Also, information will be available about volunteer openings in the hospital, including the Gift Shop, where all proceeds are donated to the hospital.
The Auxiliary has been in existence since 1959, providing support to the hospital both financially and through volunteer service. It consists of more than 400 community members, of whom 184 are active volunteers. The Auxiliary has pledged $1 million over five years in support of the “Fulfilling the Promise” campaign, which was developed to help raise private funds for the $80 million expansion and renovation project at Carroll County General.
Founded in 1961, Carroll County General Hospital is a nonprofit, acute care facility offering a continuum of services, including comprehensive inpatient, outpatient and community programs.
