 Westminster, Md. –
Carroll County General Hospital held a ribbon cutting ceremony, Sept. 6, for the Grand Re-Opening of its Gift Shop. The event featured new merchandise, sale items, giveaways, a free raffle and light refreshments.
The Gift Shop was relocated as part of the hospital’s largest-ever expansion project and a new, larger Gift Shop will open at the completion of the first phase of construction.
The Gift Shop is filled with a unique selection of special gifts for any occasion, including fresh and silk flowers, cards, candy, stuffed animals, baby items and fashion jewelry. Recently, the Gift Shop introduced its new line of collectibles and vintage pieces, called “Carolyn’s Corner.” New or old items, glassware, silver, art, jewelry and frames can be donated to the Auxiliary for sale in the Corner.
Located just inside the hospital’s new main entrance, the Gift Shop operates through the dedicated effort of many volunteers who buy, price and display all merchandise and staff the store seven days a week. All profits support the hospital through the Auxiliary. The Gift Shop is open Monday through Saturday, from 9 a.m.-8 p.m., and Sundays, 1-8 p.m.
Founded in 1961, Carroll County General Hospital is a non-profit, acute care facility offering a continuum of services, including comprehensive inpatient, outpatient and community programs.
