Westminster, Md. – The Carroll County General Hospital Auxiliary’s 11th annual Tree of Lights celebration will be held Monday, December 2, in front of The Women’s Place, 291 Stoner Ave. The lighting ceremony will begin at 7 p.m.

The Tree of Lights is a unique way to remember someone special. With a donation of $5 or more, a light bulb will be placed on the tree in honor or memory of a family member, friend or co-worker, and may commemorate a special occasion such as a marriage, birth or anniversary. The honored individual, or family of a memorialized individual, will be notified of your generous donation and invited to attend the tree lighting ceremony.

Names of donors and honorees are recorded in the Book of Honor displayed in the hospital lobby. The tree will remain lit throughout the holiday season as a symbol of hope, love and remembrance. Donations for the holiday tree will be accepted through Jan. 15, 2003.

Proceeds from the Tree of Lights will help support the Auxiliary’s $1 million pledge to Carroll County General Hospital’s “Fulfilling the Promise” campaign aimed at raising private funds for the hospital’s $80 million expansion project.

Tree of Lights forms are available in the surgical waiting area near the hospital’s main entrance, and in the Dixon Building lobby or hospital cafeteria. For more information or to have a form mailed to you, please call 410-871-6200.
