New Vice President of Development named at Carroll County General Hospital

Westminster, Md. – Carroll County General Hospital named Ellen Finnerty Myers as vice president of development. She is responsible for the operation of the hospital’s Foundation as well as volunteer services. Finnerty Myers has an extensive background in fund-raising and comes to Carroll County General Hospital from Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, where she was director of development for four years. There, Finnerty Myers was instrumental in the planning and management of a $25 million capital campaign, as well as obtaining a $10 million pledge, the largest in the organization’s history. She also held several director positions for the University of Maryland at Baltimore. Founded in 1961, Carroll County General Hospital is a nonprofit, acute care facility offering a continuum of services, including comprehensive inpatient, outpatient and community programs.
