Carroll Hospital Center's outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation Program is designed to restore and improve the quality of life for patients who have suffered a heart attack or have had cardiac interventions, such as angioplasty, cardiac stents, open heart surgery or heart transplant surgery.
This program:

- provides educational classes to assist you with modifying your individual risk factors (i.e. diabetes, hypertension, obesity, smoking, cholesterol levels and stress). A nutrition class, taught by a registered dietitian, also will be provided to help you learn about a heart-healthy diet.
- is supervised by a board-certified physician, specially trained cardiac nurses and an exercise specialist.
- is certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, and meets the highest standards of care.
