Do you or someone you love struggle with mental health or addiction issues? Carroll Hospital Center offers comprehensive care for behavioral health conditions, plus hope for those with addictions. Our programs are tailored to the needs of adolescents and adults. Our skilled, compassionate staff treats problems that include depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, age-related problems, panic disorder and substance abuse coupled with mental health issues. To meet your individual needs and allow you to continue a normal daily routine to the greatest extent possible, we’ve developed a range of treatment options. 

Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit

24-hour care for those who need intense intervention

Ambulatory Behavioral Health Services

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP):

This program is 6 hours a day, Monday through Friday. It is for those who need less intensive care than an inpatient setting; can be a step down from inpatient treatment or to prevent hospitalization.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP):

This program is 3 hours a day at least three times a week. It is for those who can function more independently, but need intensive therapy.

Dual Diagnosis Component:

We provide a component in our mental health programs to deal with both mental health and substance abuse issues.

Addictions Programs

Level I Outpatient Program: a program that takes place 2 hours each week to provide addiction treatment.

DWI Education Program: a 12-hour certified education program for people charged with driving while intoxicated.

*In each program, patients receive coordinated care from a team of behavioral health professionals in psychiatry, addictions, medicine, social work, nursing and occupational therapy. We also coordinate with other community organizations, when appropriate, to give the best possible care.

Addiction Evaluations

A one-time substance abuse evaluation.

Our services are licensed by the State of Maryland and accredited by the Joint Commission.
