More than fifty years ago, Carroll Hospital Center was founded by the vision, determination and philanthropy of a select group of community leaders. Today, that spirit lives on in the thousands of neighbors and friends who support our programs year after year.
These generous people, businesses and organizations are, in essence, giving for the health of our community. Whether they make an outright gift, an estate gift or sponsor a special fundraising event, our donors can feel good knowing they have played a critical role in the future of the hospital and have had a direct impact on the programs and services we provide.
As a private, non-profit health care facility, our associates, medical staff and volunteers work hard every day to bring the highest quality medical care to the people of Carroll County — and beyond. We could not provide this exceptional level of care — and continue to grow —without the ongoing support of our valued contributors.
Donations are crucial to the hospital’s present and future ability to annually serve more than 15,000 inpatients, 28,000 outpatients, over 56,000 emergency department patients and more than 800 hospice families each year. From the latest in joint replacement and minimally invasive surgery to quality emergency care and a wide variety of educational programs, Carroll Hospital Center’s many achievements are in large part attributable to the generosity and commitment of a community that truly cares for its neighbors.
Projects in Need of Support
To ensure that Carroll Hospital Center continues to meet the medical needs of the community, each year we make a commitment to reinvest our net income back into our facilities. However, as our community grows, these needs always surpass those that can be funded from general operating revenues alone.
Currently, our funding priorities include:
- Campaign to Cure & Comfort, Always: This three-year campaign focuses on five key areas: the William E. Kahlert Regional Cancer Center, the Tevis Center for Wellness, emerging technology, cardiovascular and stroke care services and the Carroll Hospice endowment fund.
- Vision 2020: Carroll Hospital Center's plan to continue to provide superior medical treatment and compassionate care in the coming years.
