The Patient Family Advisory Committee (PFAC) determines ways to improve the patient experience.
Consisting of community members and hospital associates, the committee meets every other month to discuss issues raised regarding patient care and to devise strategies to improve customer service.
Some of the initiatives the committee has implemented include the hospital's Pet Therapy
program, an open visitation policy in the Critical Care Unit
; and hospitality carts filled with snacks and reading materials for visitors and family members in waiting areas.
