Carroll Collector’s Club donates more than $7,000 to The Women's Place

Westminster, Md. (November 27, 2012) — The Carroll Collector’s Club donated more than $7,000 to The WISH Fund at Carroll Hospital Center to benefit The Women’s Place on November 15.
Carroll Collector’s Club members Herb Marquess and Dennis Zuk presented a check in the amount of $7,020 to Margot Bruski, Carroll Hospital Center donor relations coordinator, and Eileen Overfelt, R.N., B.S.N., The Women’s Place manager. The funds will be used to support the services provided to patients through The Women’s Place.
The donation was raised during the Carroll Collector’s Club’s annual bingo dinner held in October at Reese Firehall in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To date, the dinner has raised nearly $80,000 for The Women’s Place, since it began in 2000.
The Collector’s Club is for people who enjoy collecting a variety of items, including ornaments, dolls, model cars, teddy bears and figurines. For more information, please call Herb Marquess at 410-356-7872.
