Delores Schwessinger named Carroll Hospital Center November Volunteer of the Month

Westminster, Md. – (November 21, 2012) — Delores Schwessinger was recently named Carroll Hospital Center’s November Volunteer of the Month. A volunteer at Carroll Hospital Center for 21 years, Schwessinger was chosen for her outstanding work at The Women’s Place.
At The Women’s Place, Schwessinger performs clerical work while also greeting and assisting patients and visitors who arrive for classes, screenings and counseling or to use The Women’s Place Resource Center.
“Being a retired nurse, Delores relishes the opportunity to continue to offer compassionate care to those coming to the hospital,” Mary Richards, director of volunteer services at Carroll Hospital Center, said. “Her warm and caring nature makes patients and visitors feel welcome and comfortable asking any questions they may have.”
Each month, Carroll Hospital Center recognizes the extraordinary achievements of its volunteers. They are chosen based on length of service, hours of service or exemplary performance. Community members are encouraged to volunteer their time and skills to assist in Carroll Hospital Center’s important functions.
